Diese Plattform dient als Orientierung, Referenz und lebendiges Archiv: Sie bündelt Perspektiven, Erfahrungen und Analysen Schwarzer Frauen* und macht ihre Beiträge zu Gesellschaft, Kultur und Politik sichtbar.Der Aktivismus Schwarzer Frauen* ist zentral für die Entstehung und Entwicklung der Schwarzen Bewegungen in Deutschland. Dennoch wird unsere gesellschaftsverändernde Arbeit in sozialen Bewegungen rückblickend häufig marginalisiert, vereinnahmt oder unsichtbar gemacht. ADEFRA setzt hier an: Wir dokumentieren, erinnern und stärken die Traditionen Schwarzen feministischen Widerstands, Wissens und Community-Aufbaus.Wichtige Impulse für die Gründung von ADEFRA entstanden Mitte der 1980er Jahre im Kontext der Begegnungen Schwarzer Frauen* in Berlin, die durch die Arbeit der karibisch-amerikanischen Dichterin, Theoretikerin und Aktivistin Audre Lorde zusammengeführt wurden. Aus diesen Vernetzungen ging eine Initiative hervor, die bis heute prägend für die Organisation Schwarzer Gemeinschaften in Deutschland ist. Zu den Mitbegründerinnen gehört die Historikerin Katharina Oguntoye, die früh auf die Herausforderung hinwies, Schwarze Frauen* mit unterschiedlichen Lebensrealitäten, Erfahrungen und Interessen langfristig zusammenzubringen und solidarische Strukturen aufzubauen. Die Wissensproduktion über Schwarzes Leben in Deutschland ist nachhaltig von den Visionen, Begegnungen und kritischen Reflexionen Schwarzer Aktivist*innen geprägt. Diese Plattform knüpft daran an: als Nachschlagewerk, Blog, Dokumentationsort und Einladung zum Mit_Bewegen. ENGLISH Welcome to ADEFRA e.V. – Black Women* in Germany ADEFRA e.V. is a Black queer-feminist forum by and for Black Women in Germany — a space for dialogue, knowledge production, political intervention, and community organizing. This platform serves as an orientation, reference resource, and living archive: it brings together perspectives, experiences, and analyses by Black Women and highlights our contributions to society, culture, and politics. The activism of Black Feminists has been central to the emergence and development of the Black Movement in Germany. Yet our contributions in social movements have often been marginalized, co-opted or erased. ADEFRA addresses this gap by documenting, using radically-inclusive re_membering, and strengthening traditions of Black Feminist resistance, knowledge, and community building. The ADEFRA initiative emerged in the mid-1980s through encounters among Black Feminists in Berlin, inspired by the work of Caribbean-American poet, theorist, and activist Audre Lorde. These connections led to the founding of ADEFRA, which continues to shape organized Black Community life in Germany and in Black Europe. Among its co-founders is historian Katharina Oguntoye, who early on emphasized the complexity of bringing together Black women with diverse life experiences and sustaining collective structures over generations of movement. Knowledge production about Blackness in East & West Germany has been profoundly shaped by the visions, encounters, and critical reflections of Black Women Activists. This platform builds on that legacy — as a reference tool, blog, documentation site, and invitation to keep Black Liberation and Autonomy alive.
