The African Youth Panel (AYP) is a bold participatory action research initiative launched to tackle one of Africa’s most pressing challenges, the lack of dignified and fulfilling work for its growing youth population. Through participatory action research, our youth panelists are digging into the real issues, breaking down barriers, and coming up with bold, practical solutions that can shape systems and build secure, sustainable futures. Across Sub-Saharan Africa, many young people remain excluded from secure and dignified work—often confined to roles that do not align with their skills.
