Governance Governance within the Synod of the Northeast serves as more than organizational structure — it enables a spiritual practice of shared leadership and accountability. Donate Now SYNOD OF THE NORTHEAST Support Our New Vision! Giving is one way we join in ministry, and our connective witness is stronger when our donations reflect our mission across the region. Designated Giving options allow you to make a direct gift to mission initiatives of your choosing; 100% of your donation will go directly to the mission area you select. Support the Synod of the Northeast Your donations help to fund innovation in our Synod community. Small Church Reidency In 2023 the Synod will launch a pilot Small Church Residency Program to support “hard-to-call” congregations. The two-year Designated Pastor program is designed for congregations ready for a transformation. Pastors and congregations participating in the program will receive training in change management, discipleship, stewardship, evangelism, and community relations. Native American Church Initiative An ongoing fund within the Synod to help Native Congregations address urgent and immediate repairs and necessary improvements within their churches and chapels. In 2020 at the 224th General Assembly, the Presbyterian Mission Agency recommended that “2020-2030 be designated as a Decade of Confession and Repentance, in which PCUSA turns around and walks away from the Doctrine of Discovery”. The 224th General Assembly voted to have all mid-counsels develop a process for the repair and improvement of Native Church Properties. Indigenous Peoples Day Offering The Synod of the Northeast is responding to the call of the 225th General Assembly to create stronger relationships with our sibling PC(U.S.A.) Indigenous Churches. The money raised in this special offering will directly benefit our Synod’s four Indigenous
