Visit dutchdesignawards.nl for the full update of this year's awards, and read our jury report below:   This ode to an almost forgotten artist is a beautiful initiative and an intriguing total concept. By taking a historical approach, the makers give the history of the graphic design profession a platform and erect a statue to Koetsier. A special side programme has been developed around the series, with a symposium featuring lectures by designers and makers and an exhibition that also introduced young designers and artists to a new name in history. A heartfelt project that inspired the immediate collaboration of numerous colleagues, resulting in a chorus of individual voices that expressed a shared message.   Deze ode aan een bijna vergeten kunstenaar is een mooi initiatief en een prachtig totaalconcept. Met de geschiedkundige aanpak geven de makers de historie van het grafisch ontwerpvak een podium en Koetsier een standbeeld. Rondom de serie is een bijzonder randprogramma ontwikkeld, met een symposium met lezingen van ontwerpers en makers en een tentoonstelling waardoor ook jonge ontwerpers en kunstenaars kennismaakten met een voor hen vaak nieuwe naam uit de geschiedenis. Een integer project, waar veel vakgenoten direct hun medewerking aan verleenden, wat resulteerde in een groot aantal afzonderlijke stemmen die een gezamenlijke boodschap brachten.
