Our mission as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit is simple yet vital: The purpose of The Foundation for Lake Lure/Chimney Rock Area Businesses (herein referred to as The Foundation) is to serve as a vehicle to receive and encourage gifts and grants from individuals and organizations which will be held, invested and distributed, to businesses in the towns of Gerton, Bat Cave, Chimney Rock, Lake Lure, and Bill’s Creek in the Hickory Nut Gorge, NC, and the surrounding communities within the NC counties of Rutherford, Buncombe, Polk, and Henderson, for the purposes of disaster relief and long term recovery from Hurricane Helene and any future disaster.
